A restored 16th century mansion, the museum is the city’s main museum of local history, with period rooms and reconstructions relating to the city’s traditional industries.
There are also collections of Edinburgh silver and glass, Scottish pottery, shop signs and relics relating to Field Marshall Earl Haig, the WWI general.
