The village has an unexplained phenomenon.
On February 17, 1575, the village began to move and did so for another three days. This strange movement of a mass of soil and rock, about 25 acres, uprooted trees and hedges, killed cattle and sheep and destroyed a small chapel in its path.
The cause of this upheaval, moved the hill about 400 yards.
The chapel bell was found 265 years later in a field.
