URPoint Details
One of the prettiest villages in the county, with glorious 16th and 17th century gabled cottages and Georgian houses. Much Hadham Hall is a splendid mansion dating from 1735 with a central Venetian window and a sloping roof.
The sculptor Henry Moore lived here in the village.
The Church of St Andrew is a lovely 14th century church with a needle spire, ancient carvings, stained glass and a sculpture by Henry Moore. The tower was added in 1382-1404. The screen has panel tracery and is 15th century as are the stalls with poppyheads. There are two large rare 1400 chairs.
