A delightful village with a beautiful Tudor manor house, and a 12th to 14th century church which has a fine Tudor arcade in the chapel. A path by the lych-gate leads to the Long Stone, a great pillar which is part of a long barrow dating from between 2000 and 3000BC.
The Manor House dates from the 16th century and Brighstone Downs to the northeast reaches 701ft.
