A quiet remote village lies at the base of 184 foot Morborne Hill, on whose top is a telecommunication centre for both television and British Telecom. Here is one of a chain of countryside radio towers as well as the BBC mast over 500 feet in height.
Morborne itself is a very small farming village grouped around its partly Norman church.
