URPoint Details
A loch and river on the southwest coast situated on the narrow neck of land separating Loch Morar from the outer waters of the Sound of Sleat and through which flows the Morar River. The bay formed by the estuary is famous for its white sands and looks across the sea to the picturesque outlines of the islands of Rum and Eigg.
The loch maybe small but is the deepest in Britain. Loch Morar is separated by a narrow neck of land at South Tarbet Bay.
