The garden of this late Elizabethan house follows the outlines of the original layout but with 19th and 20th century additions. Raised walks frame a sunken lawn encircled with clipped yew and thorn with a 19th century pond at its centre. Borders of shrub roses under the retaining wall include species grown in the 16th century such as Rosa gallica officinalis. The west drive, created in 1851 is lined with trees and fronted by clipped Irish yews. The estate is surrounded by waymarked walks.
