Minstead The 13th century All Saints Church with rubble and daub walls, also a series of wooden galleries ‘parlour pews’ each one the property of the owners of the big houses in the neighbourhood and with its own fireplace and outside entrance. Under a transept roof is Gipsies’ Gallery’, which provided seats for the poor of the parish.
Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes is buried in the 13th century churchyard.
