King George III's lacemaker, Bryant Barrett, and the architect, Stephen Wright, created this beautiful 18th century gentleman's residence in 1680 from a small 17th century country manor.
Of particular interest are the Strawberry Hill Gothick Library and Chapel, which were added in 1764, and where the 18th century vestments of Bishop Challenor are displayed.
Open:Easter weekend 30th March to 1st April. May 16th to May 31st inclusive and 16th to 31st August inclusive. House tours from 2pm, until last house entry at 4pm. Groups by arrangement throughout the year.
