Millicent Lilian "Peg" Entwistle born on 5 February 1908 in Port Talbot, Wales. She was a Welsh-born English stage and screen actress.
Entwistle began her stage career in 1925, appearing in several Broadway productions. She appeared in only one film, Thirteen Women, which was released after her death.
She unfortunately gained notoriety after she jumped to her death from the "H" on the Hollywood sign, Los Angeles on 16 September 1932 at the age of 24. The "HOLLYWOOD" is spelled out in 45-foot-tall (14 m) and 350-foot-long (110 m) white capital letters.
