URPoint Details
A small loch in Annandale in Dumfries and Galloway, due south of the Castle Loch to the south of Lochmaben and a mile (1.5 km) northwest of the village of Hightae.
The vendace (Coregonus albula), a herring-like fish which is now extremely rare in Britain, once inhabited the loch but has not been recorded since 1970.
