URPoint Details
The church of St Mary is built of Barnack stone with the north porch being the largest in Suffolk. The great west tower of the church dominates the landscape.
The church is famous for the chancel’s east window, the angel roof in the nave and the carvings on the spandrels in the north aisle roof.
Lodged in the angel roof of the nave are still some arrowheads supposedly fired by Cromwell's supporters.
