A small village in wooded country on the north side of the Kennet, Midgham is close to the Bath road yet a place of quiet leafy lanes and olde world cottages. The l8th century Midgham House stands in extensive parkland with imposing entrance gates. The church, alone on its hill, was built in 1869 although in the style of the 14th century.
