Mettingham Castle built in 1342 is well known for its 14th century gateway and ivy clad walls where in 1842 six silver bells were found in the moat.
The present house in the castle grounds was built in 1880.
The Tally Ho built in 1845, is a very comfortable pub serving good meals and are reasonably priced. There is a lovely collection of china jugs, teapots and plates. Children are catered for and in the garden are swings and climbing frames. There is also wheelchair access and ample parking.
