URPoint Details
A village situated in the Strathmore Valley noted for its remains of a 15th century church and for Methven Castle with its old trees including the famous one of the Pepperwell Oak over 400 years old.
In 1306, Robert Bruce was defeated by the English in Methven Wood.
To the northwest is Millhaugh Old Bridge built in 1619 and spanning the River Almond.
