The cross on the village green is supposedly the centre of England. Just west is the 18th century Forest Hall, headquarters of the Woodmen of Arden, one of the oldest archery societies in England and was founded in 1785 and membership is restricted to 81 members.
Packington Hall is surrounded by 700 acres of woodland park which has a herd of fallow deer. In the park is the Old Hall dating from 1679.
