Halfway between Cheddington and Wing, the village of Mentmore is known for the huge mansion of Mentmore Towers. The village, however, has other attractions including cottages set around the tree-edged green.
The church, almost entirely rebuilt in 1858, includes items connected with the Rosebery family who took over the Mentmore estate when one of the Rothschild daughters, Hannah, married the 5th Lord in 1878.
