URPoint Details
This little Nithsdale village has two mountains overlooking the Mennock Pass which rises to more than 1,400ft. Lowther Hill stands at 2,377ft and Green Lowther at 2,403ft.
Across the River Nith to the west of the village is Eliock House which claims to be the birth place in 1560 of the ‘Admirable Crichton’.
