URPoint Details
The name is derived from the Old English word for ‘multi-coloured hill’. The thatched, stone cottages line the slope leading down to the paved ford with its footbridge.
The Church of St Osmond is surrounded by yew trees, and the rectory dates from the 17th century. The nave was rebuilt in 1745, and has a fine circular, stained glass window.
