This little village has two entrances - one is over the hump-backed bridge, the other to a widening stream whose crystal clear waters by stepping stones.
At the centre is a gnarly old oak tree, white-washed pub and the Norman church of Peter Meavy.
Marchant’s Cross to the southeast on Cornwood road stands over 8ft high.
