Markree Castle - Collooney

Markree Castle is Sligo's oldest inhabited house and has been the Cooper family home since 1640. Set in lovely grounds, this magnificent house has spectacular plasterwork and a fine oak Irish staircase.

Charles and Mary will offer you wonderful hospitality and excellent meals with a table licence where you can enjoy a wine or two with your meal. You will certainly have a memorable stay here in this peaceful home. Riding and instruction are available on the estate and there are many lovely walks to be found.

Collooney is on the N17 just south of Sligo.
