Small village on the south-western edge of the New Forest noted for its 220ft tower Peterson's Folly, built in the 1870s by a retired Indian judge to demonstrate the value of concrete as a building material. Take junction 1 off M27 to Lyndhurst, A337 to Brockenhurst, B3055 towards Sway. Turn left (Pilmore Lane), second turn right is Coombe Lane.
