A 13th century church situated near the Moot Hall, with a unique triangular tower, the only one in Britain. Alongside the outside of its southern wall is a collection of statues depicting famous figures from Maldon's past.
The window at the eastern end of this wall is the ‘Washington Window’, which was presented by the people of Malden, MASS. USA, and commemorates the fact that Rev Lawrence Washington is buried in the churchyard. Lawrence was great-great-grandfather of George, who became the first president of the United States of America.
