Access to the chambered tomb of Maes Howe is along a path wide enough for wheelchairs, however the path can be . muddy in wet weather.
Entrance to the tomb is suitable for wheelchair users but can cause difficulties for elderly or visitors who have difficulty in bending.
This world famous tomb was built in Neolithic times, before 2700 BC.
The large mound covers a stone-built passage and a burial chamber with cells in the walls.
