URPoint Details
A seaside resort on the west coast of the island, on Machrie Bay in the Kilbrennan Sound and facing the Kintyre peninsula.
To the east on its south bank are the Tormore Standing Stones with remains of 10 circles.
The coast road leads to Blackwaterfoot and from a path there is access to King’s Caves.
To the north a road goes eastwards inland and links with the String Road leading to Brodick along the coast.
