The mansion dates from 1743 and the exceptionally interesting 14th to 17th century church

 The Church of St Mary is mainly Perpendicular with later additions. The exceptionally interesting 14^th to 17^th century church has one of the finest monuments to the ‘St Johns’, among them the beautiful ‘Golden Cavalier’. There are also of interest 17^th century altar rails, a remarkable triptych in a cabinet and with some ancient heraldic glass.  The building was designated as Grade I listed in 1955
