Luton - Mossman Collection

A beautifully displayed collection of carriages, coaches, vans, and wagons depicting the horse drawn transport in early England.
There are some very rare exhibits including an original Royal Mail Coach, Lord Lonsdale's Phaeton used for racing and some wonderful memorabilia.

George Mossman's collection has been collected of over 50 years, and is well known internationally as an expert and has assisted in the makings of such films as Chitty, Chitty Bang Bang, Out of Africa and The Shooting Party. Vehicles used in Ben Hur and The Wicked Lady are also on display.
