URPoint Details
Situated a little to the north of the winding River Dee beyond the Loch of Auchlossan lies the little village.
On the hill to the northwest is Macbeth’s Cairn, where it is reputed to have been the spot where he was slain after his defeat at Dunsinane in 1057.
After he had been killed, his head was taken to Malcolm at Kincardine Castle near Fettercairn.
