URPoint Details
A small market town in the Fowey Valley and was the capital of Cornwall in the 13th century.
There are many fine buildings including Georgian houses in Fore Street, the 18th century grammar school in Queen Street and the Guildhall from 1740.
Church of St Bartholomew has an original 14th century spire, a spectacular carved font and some fine monuments
