The Almshouses founded in 1573 also built of red brick are next to the church.
The 14 acre Green at the high north end of Hall St is crowned by the magnificent church of the Holy Trinity built in the late 1400's and stands on an earlier site, the tower was added late 1890's. One of the most famous churches in the country of stone and flint with nearly 100 large windows and is spectacular in the evenings when it is floodlit.
Lady Chapel still has mementos from 1669 to 1880 when it was a schoolroom.
