A centre for sailing and water-skiing on Loch Earn and climbing in the surrounding mountains or walking to the north up the wooded Glen Ogle towards Killin.
The flame nasturtium grows wild on the hills and gives a glorious backdrop to the loch.
Situated at the western end of the charming Loch Earn which stretches east over six miles with the delightful village of St Fillan's at the far end.
Near the south shore of the loch is the ruined St Blane's Chapel and a little farther on is the entrance to Glen Ample with a waterfall facing the old castellated mansion of Edinample.
