A long 19 mile freshwater loch near the west coast with Glenfinnan at its head in the romantic Clanranald country stretching from the monument of Prince Charles Edward at Glenfinnan to Acharcle forming the boundary between Ardgour district and the Moidart district of Inverness.
The scenery here is spectacular and the finest in the Western Highlands with its lofty mountains including Bheinn Bheag at 2,895ft facing Meall nan Creag Leac at 2,784ft.
