URPoint Details
The most beautiful sea loch lies to the south of the Coolin range and is crossed by motor boat from Elgol on their way to its head
Beyond here and separated by a narrow neck of land lies the wild and impressive Loch Coruisk with the jagged peaks of the Coolins overhanging the far end.
A little to the west is the 'Mad Burn' which is most impressive when it has rained and the overflow falls through the narrow ravine into the waters of Scavaig.
Gars Bheinn at 2,934ft is the most southerly Coolin peak and rises above the loch to the northwest and off-shore is the flat Island of Soay.
