URPoint Details
A reservoir and nature reserve, in the Braes of Angus at the southern end of GlenIsla 4 miles (6 km) northeast of Alyth.
Along with the larger Backwater Reservoir, Lintrathen supplies water to Dundee the towns of Angus and northeast Perth and Kinross.
Surrounded by farmland, the loch is visited by large numbers of wildfowl, wintering geese, whooper swans and the occasional osprey.
