A remote loch away from any main road but its mountain setting is one of the finest in Scotland and is a walker's delight.
A narrow road leading from Ullapool to Inchandamph road crosses its northern shores above which rise Cul Beag at 2,523ft and later by An Stac or Stack Polly rising to 2,009ft an amazing little mountain with a summit ridge of sharp and practically unclimbable rock pinnacles overlooking Inverpolly Forest.
