Loch Calder a large loch in Caithness 5 miles (8 km) southwest of Thurso.
The loch is 2 miles (3 km) in length, 1 mile (2 km) wide and extends to approximately 384 ha (950 acres) in area.
Receiving water from Loch Olginey to the south, the loch casts off a modest stream to the north, the Alltan Ghuinne that enters the Forss Water, which flows north to Lybster.
The loch supports a popular fishery for trout and Arctic Char.
