URPoint Details
A lonely and remote loch situated in the heart of the wild and rocky Sutherland mountains which are dominated to the east by Ben More Assynt rising to 3,273ft the highest peak in the county.
The area is known for its rare plants and ferns.
Nearer to the loch on the north side rises Quinag to 2,653ft and on the south side is Canisp at 2,779ft one of the strange isolated Torridon sandstone peaks.
