The International Eisteddfod attracts visitors from all around the world each July and has done so since 1947.
The stone bridge over the River Dee dates back to 1345, and is known as one of the seven wonders of the world.
A narrow canal winds round the hillside of the town, and joins the main Shropshire Canal at the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct. The Aquaduct is an amazing construction built by Thomas Telford and sits 120ft above the Dee Valley.
The rocky ruins of Castell Dinas Bran are all that remains of the 8th century castle.
