Access for wheelchairs The sheer beauty of the plant life in the rainforest has been created under glass. There are three types of forest: cloud forest, diffused sunlight and heavily canopied - each with its own selection of vegetation. Many of the plants are in grave danger of extinction. A main objective is to propagate these endangered species so that they may be preserved for future generations. From a seed the size of a pea see the spectacular water lily (Victoria amazonica) with its giant 8 foot lily pads and 18 inch flowers.
