An ancient attractive village with beautiful beechwoods, commons covered with bracken, oaks and wild cherry trees all part of the National Trust.
The Church of St Peter and St Paul is a mainly Perpendicular with a flint tower with diagonal buttresses and the remainder cement-rendered. The kneeling figure of Elizabeth Dutton was removed from St Martin’s-in-the-Field in London.
