Drumcliffe has been home to the Gore-Booth family for centuries and Lissadell House since the 1830s.
The dining-room walls are painted with over-size life figures and the two storey hallway is lined with Doric columns leading to a double staircase of Kilkenny marble.
Some of the family left their mark in history from Eva a distinguished poet, Sir Josselyn a keen horticulturist who planted the grounds, and Constance who took part in the 1916 Easter Rising.
