An unusual but beautiful grey stone mansion with turreted wings and has a long driveway leading through trees to the impressive front entrance, the home of the Leith family for almost 400 years.
The graciously furnished rooms contain personal possessions of successive lairds, most followed a tradition of military service.
The house is set in the centre of a 286 acre estate which contains ponds, a bird observation hide, a hilltop viewpoint, an unusual semi-circular 18th century stables and an ice house.
The six-acre garden features extensive herbaceous borders and has a fine collection of alpines and primulas in the rock garden.
