URPoint Details
Delightful and charming small village set in the hilly country between Huntingdon and the border with Northamptonshire.
Two features of interest are the moated gatehouse and the church. The Gatehouse dates from the 15th century and is the only part ever built of a great mansion designed by John Thorpe for the Duke of Lennox.
The church is certainly one of the finest examples of Early English in the county, but after falling into near ruin was rebuilt in 1634 when the tower was added. The splendid furnishings of this period include the pulpit and reader's desk.
The Green Man is a lovely little village pub.
