URPoint Details
A remote spot in the northern highlands situated on the Laxford River a famous place for anglers with salmon in the streams which then flows through Laxford Bay into the island studded Loch Laxford.
To the southeast rises the gneiss, cone of Ben Stack at 2,364ft.
North of the loch is Arcuil at 2,580ft with its rough quartzite scree slopes and farther east rises Meall Horn at 2,548ft both in the great Forest of Reay.
This whole area with lots of little lochans is an a fisherman’s paradise.
