Sitting on the banks of the River Test is a group of attractive thatched cottages nestling near the church of St Mary which dates from 1896.
Laverstoke House was built in the 18th century by Joseph Bonomi in the Classical Revival style.
Laverstoke’s claim to fame is that it produced the watermark paper that the Bank of England used in the making of currency notes from 1727 till 1950
