URPoint Details
The ruined Cosmeston Castle lies to the northwest. West of Lavernock Point are St Mary’s Well Bay and Sully Island and out to sea are Flat Holm and Steep Holm.
The first wireless messages across water were transmitted by Marconi from Lavernock Point to Flat Holm in 1897.
