Launceston Steam Railway

The railway runs for 2½ miles through the beautiful valley of the River Kensey, linking the historic town of Launceston with the hamlet of Newmills.

Trains are hauled by Victorian locomotives and passengers may also visit the museum and workshops or enjoy the station buffet and shop.

At the end of the line visitors can explore the footpaths or relax and picnic. Tickets are valid for repeat journeys so the railway forms an ideal destination for those wishing to discover Cornwall's ancient gateway town its castle, and the lovely countryside which surrounds it. Wet or dry the line is well worth a visit.
