This little village stands on a hill above the River Yeo, with a steep street of thatch cottages and Georgian houses.
The 15th century church of St Thomas of Canterbury has a Norman doorway and some fine carved woodwork. It is said that it was built by one of Thomas a Becket’s murderers William de Tracy.
