A delightful Lakeland valley with a background of lofty fells, including Bow Fell at 2,960ft and Crinkle Crags at 2,818ft.
Above the waterfall of Dungeon Ghyll is the well known Langdale Pikes.
To the south of the valley in Little Langdale is the delightful Blea Tarn, high up in its setting of fells.
