URPoint Details
The lake is the largest in Wales, 5 miles long and nearly a mile wide and formed by blocking the valley of the River Vyrnwy in 1880 with a dam 160ft high and 1,200ft long.
Trout fishing permits are available at the hotel and a good road encircles the lake.
